About

Team Goade is inspired by Rich Goade (http://www.richgoade.com), the full-time cancer fighter. He’s taking down colon cancer with faith, an excellent team of doctors, nurses, and staff and with his positive attitude. We want him to know that we’re fighting right along with him and we always will be. Watch out…we fight dirtier than butt cancer and we won’t stop until it’s wiped clean! Send prayers, send love, get involved!

Rich Goade

Rich was 34 when he was diagnosed with colon cancer, which has a history in his family. He was treated at Seattle Cancer Care Alliance and University of Washington Medicine before he and his family moved to Utah, where he continued his care at Huntsman Cancer Institute, Intermountain Medical Center, and St. Mark’s Hospital.

Goade Family

“In the beginning,” Rich recalled, “everything felt like an uphill battle. I felt alone and worried. After many, many, many more trials, I have come to realize that I am not alone in this. My family, my friends, and many, many doctors, nurses and staff are there to help me. I have never felt stronger and more supported.”

Rich felt that he took much less for granted than he used to, adding “I try to take things one day or one day or one issue at a time.” As for the most important thing he’s learned since becoming a colon cancer patient, Rich noted that “the Lord will not give us more than we can handle. It may take time to realize, but we can overcome our trials if we choose to follow Him.”

We love you Richard Stephen Goade!
